Prefered file types are illustrator (.ai, .pdf, .eps).  For raster files (or photographs) .jpg is preferred and

must be in high resolution to produce high quality results.  For large format (over 2 sq ft.)at least 100 dpi at full size and

for smaller decals 300 dpi is sufficient.
